  1. Fascinating breakdown. Thanks for articulating so eloquently. I suppose even more interesting would be seeing these figures in the context of the number of active twitter users in each location. I’d imagine there’d be over a million users in London alone which would suggest Boris still has a lot of engagement to do…

    I wonder though, is this about getting Mayors to “get” social media, or is it about mobilising citizen users to be a bit more on the front foot with using twitter to make elected leaders accountable. A Mayor may get a kick from having hundreds of thousands of followers, but if they are all empowered to critique that person’s actions and have their voices heard that group starts looking pretty powerful.
